RENO FIRE FIGHTING ALS
IN MEMORY OF CAPTAIN DUANE DUNSTONE
Duane Dunstone began his Reno Fire Dept. career in September of 1999. Duane quickly moved up in the ranks and became a Captain for the Reno Fire Dept. Unfortunately, after the Caughlin Ranch fire in 2011, Duane started to experience some medical issues. Duane was diagnosed with ALS in October of 2013. Duane was able to battle the disease until July of 2017. Duane had a zest for life and a passion for living. Duane was an avid snow & water skier. He fell in love with fishing and became a professional bass fisherman. Duane would go out of his way to help you with whatever your need was. Duane left stories & memories for all of us to share to carry on his influence.
