Why We Walk.
Thank you for helping us reach our WalkALS fundraising goal! This event raises critical funds supporting patients and families affected by ALS in Nevada. Additionally, it spreads awareness across the globe of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, degenerative, neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to function. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure. You may be more familiar with it as Lou Gherig's Disease. Since he was diagnosed in 1939, not enough progress has been made to crack the code for a cure. That is our WHY. That is why we are raising awareness, raising funds, and fighting this fight. Like many of you know, it was an unfathomable disease that someone else had - until it struck our family. Now we know too many people with ALS.
Please walk with us VIRTUALLY or IN PERSON on Sunday, October 26, 2025. If you are so inclined, donate to TEAM MANLEY - TACKLE ALS and jump in and raise money with us. Funds raised directly impact families in NEVADA. Every dollar raised is meticulously managed and it all goes straight to support patients and families. We know this firsthand. Your dollar makes a huge difference and has direct impact. We believe in this organization and trust the leadership.
